A Little Science on Infrared Lamps
Near Infrared Light Therapy is a safe, inexpensive yet powerful therapy to help improve circulation, oxygenate tissues and eliminate heavy metals, toxic chemicals and chronic infections from the body. There are thousands of studies showing that infrared is effective for full-body detoxification and tissue healing with no known side effects.
An incandescent lamp provides natural thermal infrared wavelengths as close to the the sun as one can get. The lamps penetrate 5-10cm into tissue and prompt a deeper sweat compared to other methods such as from intense exercise. This enables you to draw out toxins without putting stress on your system or elimination organs. For your body to heal it needs to be in a para-sympathetic state so infrared treatments before bedtime or first thing in the morning are recommended.

What does the sauna panel comprise of?
Our design is inspired by Dr Lawrence Wilson:
- Natural wood frame made with untreated spruce cladding.
- 4 x 250w Philips/Crompton incandescent infrared heat lamps.
- White lamp bases with ceramic stem (to reduce the risk of overheating).
- 4m power cable.
- Timer switch on the plug - press for 15 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins.
- Rope handle for hanging on a door, cabinet or wall.
- Dimensions: 58cm x 46cm x 7cm, without the bulbs.
- Made by hand in our workshop so each unit will be unique and grain will vary.
- No glues or varnishes used, low EMF.
- NOTE: Dr Wilson prefers steel mesh placed over the lamps - this is personal choice and something you might want to add later.
